Peer Education is a strategy used to promote healthy living, which utilizes the influence trained peers can have on one another and their immediate community. Typically, Peer education at NiBUCAA entails training and supporting staffs of organizations on HIV/AIDS and other health issues in such a way that it brings about both attitudinal and behavior change between colleagues and the community at large.
Over the years, NiBUCCA has been empowering Peer Educators in different organizations nationwide. Recently, NiBUCAA empowered Peer Educators at Total Group Nigeria, one of its member companies to broaden their knowledge on HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis and other health issues.
Also, NiBUCAA trained 28 Peer Educators for Nigerite Limited for about 3 days, a non-member company to deepen their knowledge about HIV & AIDS and other health related issues.
